Yanmar Tractor Not Working?
i have a yanmar tractor. when i crank it, it acts like its starving for fuel and then just dies slowly. i checked the fuel hoses and they are working properly. please help.
If you took off the fuel line hoses then you probably introduced air into the fuel system. Diesel fuel systems are what they call Closed loop systems, which means that they can not be exposed to external air sources. If it is a diesel and won’t start after cranking system, then you might need to look at the injector pump. This is the fuel pump on the engine side that pressurizers the fuel before it goes to the individual cylinders. Please understand that the pressure on this pump is EXTREME! If you don’t know what you’re doing let someone who knows work with it. Injection from the injector pump on to you or your skin can KILL YOU!
