Is it possible to get a remote/keyless entry system and an owners manual for a 2000 Hyundai Sonata?
I just bought the car from a Saturn dealership and the previous owner only turned in one key and the owners manual was also missing. I’d also like to be able to have some kind of push button gizmo to lock & unlock the doors & trunk lid. Thanx for any help!
The car does have power locks. Can the remote key entry be bought at a parts store or does that have to come from a Hyundai dealer?
Thanks Andy T. Is there a way I can tell if the unit had a remote key system? Would the VIN # have that information? I bought it from a Saturn dealer and they don’t have that information. Please add this information to your original answer, if possible. Thanx again!
The owners manual part # is Y0000-406, according to the Hyundai parts catalog. The keyless entry remote part # is 95760-38000. Check with the local Hyundai dealer to see if your car was originally equipped with keyless entry. If it was buy a remote and they will program it for you. If it was not, there is no “kit” available to add it from Hyundai. You should check with the local stereo shop to see if they sell a universal keyless set up.
