Milking machines causes chapping of tits of cows. What kind of medication is available?

There is a Balm in Maine available, I believe. But, it contains Hydroxy
Quinoline Sulfate. Isn’t this chemical harmful and toxic?

There is Bag Balm which has been in use for more than 100 years. In the green tin with red and yellow.

there are also several other brands available. These are very healing and soothing to the cow and to me. I use these on my hands and feet to prevent dry cracked conditions in winter.

They would not be available over the counter if they were not safe. It is not to be eaten after all. You are to use the Iodine wash to clean the cows teats then rinse that off and apply the milkers. After removing the milkers you wash the cows teats again and apply the Bag Balm or whatever else you find.

Almost all of the really good hand creams also contain that ingredient as well.
