my craftsman lawn tractor died while mowing. now it is dead. is there a fuse anywhere that could blow?

it’s a craftsman 17 hp lawn tractor. it was running fine then just died like i turned off the key. nothing responds when i turn the key.

Check the starter solenoid, there is a fuse about 6″ away from the ignition also. If it’s not one of those check the safety kill switch under the seat, if it goes bad it will not allow the engine to start. Check to see if the “blade engaged” kill switch is damaged as this also will not allow the engine to start while the blades are able to turn.

One more thing….Check the battery cables and make sure they are clean and tight.
