how do you start an international Diesel Tractor model MD?

I was just wondering, because since you have to start on the gas than switch over to diesel, could you give me steps to starting that kind of tractor and maybe pointers?

I saw your queston last night, and being an old tractor fan, waited until I had a bit of time to do some “snooping”.

What I found was basically this:
Pull out the lever that switches it from diesel to gasoline by changing the combustion chamber size (from smaller to larger), and start the engine. This lowers the compression levels and closes the circuit so the plugs will fire to burn the gasoline. Once the engine is warm, switch to diesel operating mode.
