How do I replace the handles of my post hole digger?
One of the handles of my post hole digger broke just above the metal piece and the other handle is splitting along the length. We got new handles but when I got the bolts out (of the metal piece that actually holds the handle) apparently the metal is very tightly clamped around the handle.
How do I remove the old handle without hurting myself?
Take a screwdriver and pry the metal handles out a little to remove the wood handle, put the new handle in and use some slip wrenches or hammer to clamp the metal back tightly around the new handle/. You might could use a real strong putty knife or anything strong enough to pry the metal. Good luck.
