Can I grease my airsoft gun barrel?

Not to long ago I decided to go and shoot my JG Sig 552 airsoft gun because I havent played with it in a while and I had nothing better to do. So i load my gun and i go shoot it and after about 15-20 shots it jams. I bring it back inside and i try to unjam it. Then i realized that the barrel was clogged up with white grease (I think its grease). The bb’s had a very hard time leaving the barrel because of the grease. I cleaned it all out. Is it ok to put new grease into the barrel? If so, what kind?

No, not really grease, but silicone oil. It should be PURE silicone oil.
