When to replace the front tire on a crf250r?

I have a 2007 crf250r with 35 hours on it. I race motocross do you think it is time to replace the front tire? What would be a good tire for intermediate terrain? Thanks I will pick a best answer.

The tyres need to be replaced as soon as you loose the front edge on them. How often this is depends upon usage and the type of surface you are racing and riding on. I know one track my son races at and trains at you can basically throw the tyre away after one session.
For intermediate terrain try the Dunlop GEO Max 51. If you want to save money once the front edge is worn then take the tyre off and turn it around so you get a bit more use out of it and if you feel you need the edge in racing and want a new set only run them for the race and keep another set for training and once the race set are worn turn them into the training pair. So you basically always have a spare for training. If you race many different surfaces then you need to run differ net tyres to suit. I know I have a stack sitting out the front of my shed to the roof that are too good to throw out and waiting for a chance to have the last decent bit on them used for training.
