Spark plugs where hit an damaged by piston and now engine light is on what could be wrong?

it is a 51 reg x-type jaguar. We were sold the wrong spark plugs for the car and when it was started up with these in they where hit by the pistons an damaged. Now the engine light is on due to the pistons misfiring. anyone have any ideas what the problem could be??

Could be anything – a bent valve, dropped piston, damaged injector – too many possibilities from the symptoms you’ve described. You’ll need to get it in to a mechanic to be checked.
