Bolt Set
i have a set of wheels i want to use the bolt pattern fits but center hole is bigger can i use them ? ?
is this safe?
Yes. you can use them. Go up to a shop to have them put on though. Have them get you a set of hubcentric rings. These install in the hub of the wheel and the center of them are the same size as the hub of your car. That way your studs are not carrying the load. The lugs don’t carry the load, they just hold on the wheel. Make sure you do have the proper type of lug style for the new wheel though. (acorn, mag/shank,etc…) If you get wheel locks too. Don’t get a cheap one, after time the lock and lug wear down quite quickly. Just get a good set. Oh and NO ONE I know has ever had a problem with the wheel shaking issue at 50mph. Either his wheels were off balance by 1oz. or more which 50mph would be the perfect time to start feeling this.. or someone didn’t torque the wheels properly. One more note on the torquing. You have to have your torque checked after installation a couple times. After the first time they are put on. IF they are aluminum they loosen a little in the first 200miles or so. Just keep checking the torque until they don’t loosen up any. Never had a problem going this way.
