Arbor Master
Am I a chance to enter graduate school at the University of Michigan? Any U of M graduate students?
I want the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor for my MSW (Masters in Social Work). The U of M is a very competitive school and SW program was # 1 in the country over the past 10 years. Am competitive enough? ~ After the summer semester I will have a bachelor's degree psychology. ~ ~ I have a 3.5 GPA, did an internship for 3 months the Red Cross. ~ I am the president of the Social Work Club at my university. Excellent ~ I of the recommendation letters. I have no other internship or volunteer experience but we were raising funds and charity events in the social work club. Am I competitive enough? What I can do to increase my chances of acceptance?
I think you're pretty competitive with a good opportunity. You are involved in many activities and have a good GPA. So you'll have an opportunity. But if you want to be really very, very competitive to be accepted, I suggest to raise their grade point average of 3.6 or more involved with volunteer activities such as volunteer in a hospital or retirement center. Colleges love to see someone as a volunteer. Especially if you are in social work, volunteering is an asset. Good luck! I'm trying to gain acceptance to a university too!
