Ameraucana Chicken
Is this normal for an ameraucana chicken?
I have two ameruacanas who are almost seven months old and haven’t started laying yet. Today in our coop we found a creamy white egg that was about the same size as a store bought egg. We also have 4 1-year-old golden sex links (who lay brown eggs) and a 9-month-old blue andalusian(who lays small white eggs).
Could this mystery egg be from one of my other chickens or did my ameraucanas finally start laying??

It is possible. If your Ameraucanas came from a hatchery, then they aren’t true Ameraucanas, but rather Easter Eggers. Easter Eggers are mutt birds, that carry the blue egg gene. They can actually be any color, size, and lay any color egg as well.
As for their age I would not be to. concerned if they are not laying, sometimes due to season, and development of the birds it can take a full year to start laying. Also since Easter Eggers are mutts (if that is what you have) who knows what they are crossed with and they could start laying at any time) are rally judge maturity by looking at the bird. Hens will be red in the comb/wattles, and their body will look matured as an adult hen.
As for the mystery egg. I highly doubt it could be the sex links, or Andalusian, but I suppose it could be possible. I would take a look at your Easter Egger/Americana’s vents. A non laying bird will have a small round vent. A laying bird will have a wide vent, it will look like it can lay an egg. Look at your laying birds if you need a comparison.
