How much smaller can i go in front, and how much bigger in back on my motorcycle?

On my cruiserI have a 120-90-17 on the front, and wanna go narrower and shorter, what is the min. I can go on the same rims? Also, I have a 170-80-15 on the rear and wanna go wider and shorter, what is the max. I can go on the same rim? If I am able to go shorter on the rear will I have to adjust the speedometer? Anyone know of a good name brand that has good prices?

You can cram all sorts of size tires on it, as long as you can get the bead to seat. Obviously putting wrong size tires on your bike will make it handle differently, granted its a cruiser and doesn’t handle that well to begin with, are you willing to make it worse? Putting too wide a tire will roll your contact patch up making the patch very small, putting too narrow of a tire will spread the contact patch and give the tire not enough crown conceivably running right off the edge of the tire. Lower profile tires will reduce your ground clearance so those hard parts you drag in a corner will drag that much sooner perhaps even levering the bike off the ground. If your intent on doing this usually you can get away with one size wider or narrower at least on the rear w/o screwing the handling beyond measure. If you do decide to cram on 200/50s and 90/70s on your bike don’t be surprised when you eatshit.
